Ammo Question

My dad has an old S&W .38 revolver. The gun does not have the +P anywhere on it. I was wondering if this gun can handle a Hornady Critical Defense 110 grain load? Is that load considered +P?
If it cannot handle it should it be loaded with a normal hollow point for self defense?

Box will say +P if the ammo is +P. I am not a revolver guy so I have no clue if your old Smith will run it.

If it doesn't say +P on the box it shouldn't be +P.

I have a couple of S&W revolvers, do not still have the boxes. Do not recall the boxes saying +P, could be wrong.

Not sure if you were referring to the ammo or gun boxes. But the ammo sure most def have +P and the gun does as well.

Like others have said. If the box does not have +P on it then the ammo is definitely not +P.
That 110 grain is ok to shoot in your gun.
