Mix coming down now. Radar shows bigger cell coming. 34.3 degrees according to my outdoor sensor.

Sleet now. I work right by MS river bridge going to Natchez, they are closing it down.

Drove Leesville to Alex on 28. Pretty icy. Bridges are real bad. Several people went off the road. Ice accumulating in woods

Some of the people I'm meeting up there will be going up to Vicksburg, crossing over and dropping south. Wonder if they'll have any trouble crossing the river on I20?
It's been probably 8 years since I've been up that route but I believe I'll be crossing a few bridges but plan to just take my time and use 4x4 if needed.

The bridge crossing from Vicksburg to Delta is sketchy enough 
You should be fine. I haven't heard of any closures yet. Sand trucks have been out.

The bridge in Vicksburg is closed from what I've been told.
We left Lafayette at 6 and made it here right after 11, so better than I expected. The roads were decent with the exception of one ~25 mile stretch of HWY65 but put it in 4x4 and rolled about 35-40 with no issues. We passed 3 overturned vehicles on 65 though, all had been reported and the drivers were gone.
The people we were supposed to meet here had to get a room south of Jackson.
