Are you talking about the dust cover rail?

Just for fun I took a TRS-25 off my daughters 15/22 and slapped it up on top of my NPAP. As long as I was within about 100' it would hit paper. Any further than that and it was a guess on where it hit. Just way too much play in the cover.

I would not recommend putting any optics on it. Just get a locking side rail.

Are you saying too much play taking the cover on and off or while it's on there. Milled or stamped? My cv39v2 is pretty tight and I was going to try one of those railed dust covers. Not sure if it will work tho.

My experience was that the dust cover rail rocked to the left and right while shooting the NPAP. It just wasn't stable enough for shots at a distance of 100'. Recoil jumped the cover around quite a bit for my liking.

I know the TRS25 isn't the best optic but it held a zero pretty well on a 20 gauge while testing it out.

Your CV may have a better lock-in than what I experienced with Zastava. Just giving you a heads up. Good luck!
