After studying the jawbone, the premolars are showing very light wear and staining and the secondary crest of the first molar has little wear at all which indicates this bucks age is 2.5 years. The lack of antler mass further backs up these findings. Either way, antlers and jawbones aren't edible and I bet this buck will taste just as good as any B&C Whitetail! Enjoy your Venison!

That deer is at least 4. Looking at the 4th tooth, there is moderate wear. There is a lot of dentine(the brown stuff) showing. It’s possible this deer is 5. I’m very sure he’s not 2 and pretty sure he’s not 3 unless his diet consisted of sand paper.

I'm going with 2.5 doubt 3.5 - long snout - nose.

Based on those teeth, he was a solid 3 year old. I’m hesitant to go full out 3.5, but the evidence of a solid dentin line on the 3rd bicuspid says it is older than 2.5. Just a hair more dentin on the first, and I’d say a solid 3.5. Really wouldn’t have a problem with either 3 or 3.5, but no doubt the wear is more than that of a 2.5 year old. Clearly.

Pretty easy here. Tooth wear and the look of the dentine build up put it at 3.5. Look of the face and horns and what body we see also hits on 3.5, Nice buck.
