I am in the market for a gun safe. Im looking for something around the 48 gun capacity range. Also looking to keep it under $1000. Those of you that own safes, which do yall recommend, and have experience with.

TIA

For anyone interested, Mike Ward is having a scratch and dent sale this weekend. Saw a commercial for it on tv.

I may stop by to look at prices. I already got one from them 3 years back but wouldn't mind getting another if it is cheap enough.

I got an good deal on a 42 gun Cannon safe from Academy over the summer. They were running a sale for the 36 gun safes and they were marked down to around $450 from $600 so I bought one. I had to order the safe because they didn't have one in stock at the store. The safe was supposed to be in the store in 2 weeks and I was told to call them if I hadn't heard from them by then. Three weeks roll around and I call them looking for my safe. They proceed to tell me that they can't find my order and that they don't have any 36 guns safes in stock but that they'd give me a 42 gun for the same price. So I got an $800 safe for $450
