What's your preference on personal defense rounds for a 9mm?

Hydra Shok?
Defender?
HST?
Gold Dot?
Other?

Any of the ones listed will work just fine. Gold Dots and HSTs are preferred by law enforcement FWIW.

I carry Hornady Critical Defense and have Hornady Critical Duty in my home defense gun.

I have a 9mm Sig, I really like it and have Gold dot for it but for personal defense I still prefer my 1911. I know. Call me old fashioned LOL.

I prefer not to get shot by any of them.

HST
Gold Dot
Critical Defense
Corbon DPX
Remington Golden sabre
Win PDX-1

any of these will do the job. Just make sure they shoot reliably in your weapon.

This and good shot placement is all you need.

I wouldn't want to defend myself with something that says RIP on the box. I don't care how well it performs.

+p 115 grain powrball.

In gel tests it penetrates to over twelve inches. In water jug tests it enters the fourth jug, the same as a .45 fmj.

Wound channels on hogs look more like .223 ballistic tips than a handgun round.

Some hate it. But, it works.

I keep Hornady Critical Defense in my bedside 9mm. And I pray that I never have to use it.

Very gimmicky.

The petals that break off will only barely penetrate the surface of the skin. The only part of that bullet that will truly make it to the vitals is the base. The weight of the base is about the weight of a 380 projectile. So you're basically handicapping yourself.

+1 to what Downshift said. Could be a shitstorm in court.

Interdasting. What's the name of the store?

EDIT: Reviewing Carson's VP9 this weekend. Make your girlfriend watch it with you and tell her I stole it after.
