An 80 year old man from Harrison, AR killed a 160 class buck with a compound bow today

Me too, but I'd probably be happier if I was still able to bow hunt at 80

My Dad turned 80 last week. He still fishes every day and doesn't miss a day during duck season. I think that's what keeps him going strong.

My FIL is 80 and works at a golf course part time. He's very active, I think that makes a big difference as you get older.

For real, though, it is awesome to see a guy like that still getting it done with a real bow.
Makes me ask myself why I'm not still bow hunting.

ETA: I do NOT use a crossbow.

I know an old guy in his eighties that bow hunts with a recurve.

Wow! Look at that roman nose... that's an old buck. Hell of a good deer! That area of Arkansas is difficult to hunt but worth it!

Mine is about to be 79 and has had 4 heart attacks and several surgeries.

I brought him a new deer stand chair from my work, very nice and very heavy duty. Probably a good 30-40 lbs. He got pretty pissed at me when i wouldnt let him carry that thing up his 12ft ladder and try to put it in a 18' wide door on his box stand.

Just trying to keep the man alive
