I just purchased a 6.5 creedmoor and I am looking to hunt deer with it. I just bought some Hornady ELD-X because it had very good reviews. Does anyone have experience with this round? If not, what do you use or recommend?

Thanks

I always choose Barnes over anything. With that being said, I have never shot a 6.5 before, much less reloaded for one.

That bullet is brand new, so I doubt you will find a lot of hunting data on it.

Its replacing the amax which was a good all around bullet. They redesigned the polymer tip because it was deforming during flight causing some weird things with ballistics.

Should be a good round to use for hunting.
