We have a 4 acre pond and we’ve got an old 13’ Boston whaler that my brothers boss gave to him in it. Has front and rear casting decks built out of wood in it Fishes good.

How much do you want to spend?

A buddy had one of something like this he would use with a cheap trolling motor on a small pond though probably only about 2 acres.

It was plenty confortable fishing he and I. Neither of us a small men, though not exceedingly big.

You could try a kayak. They do also have motorized options.

Have fun with whatever you do. Jon Boat would have been my first thought but as I have gotten older, jon boats have gotten increasingly uncomfortable to me

Jon boat for me with a trolling motor or paddle.

My pond is around 10acres. I have two 14’ Jon boats. They will likely be there when I’m gone.

Jon boat with small trolling motor. Easier to pile in the kids and the dog

Check out Mark Zuckerberg's new boat. You might want something like that.

Not sure on the style but something with a high seat or stable enough where you can stand comfortably so you’re higher up off the water

I’ve fished of a Pond King. That’s the answer. Jon Boat isn’t the answer unless you build in some casting decks.

In my 4.5 acre, I started with a 13' canoe, but upgraded to a 12 ft JB for space, with a 30lb Endura C2 and a small lightweight lithium ion battery. Two bricks for an anchor.

I’d go Jon boat with a 50lb thrust motor, lithium battery. And as said find one with a casting deck or build one with marine ply.

Why spend extra for 50 pounds of thrust when a 30 thrust will get you all the way across in less than a minute and use less battery?

Not sure why.

My 12 ft alumacraft is about 60 pounds lighter than what is in that academy link, easier to drag into and out of the water. Then flip it over easily to store on the bank upsidedown to keep rain/leaves out. Can't flip those little pond hoppers over, they always get nasty and dirty real quick.

I have fished a lot in an old 13 boston whaler in Charleston, slaying redfish inshore, I love those boats. Then after moving back to Georgia, I watched my neighbor completely restore one in his garage over the course of a year, very jealous. He died and while sad, I was waiting for the dust to settle before offering his wife some money for it, didn't want to seem like a vulture and offer too soon. But then one of his adult children came by and snatched it. I ran out there and gave him all my contact info if he ever wanted to sell it. Never heard from him.

Now I read you have one just rotting away in a cow shite pond semi-close to me and I feel like making you an offer on it.

And spot lock and live scope and an epirb and vhf radio and what else am I forgetting?

Oh, sat phone and an AR-15 (pirates).
