I can't wait! Bought groceries for camp today leaving tomorrow!

As far as predictions I predict an average to below average year

I think we won't have enough feed in the coastal marshes after the little tropical low.

I also think with El Ninio it's going to be a warm winter and very wet stopping the ducks north of us.

I hope like hell I am wrong.

Playing the numbers game leads to the wrong idea about hunting. Enjoy the hunt, shoot what you decoy, eat good game.

I'm predicting 24 on the stringer. Followed by redfishes and a wet arse.

I'm mad at the deer right now. Will hit Stuttgart for late season, depending on when the ducks get there.

Hopefully we get enough cold weather.

As for feed, was at my pond three days ago near the rigolets and the feed was good around me!

Thinking second split will be awesome as usual.

The long range forecasts indicate a mild November-December and a brutal Jan-March. I'm glad they bumped the season a week back this year.

The first split will most likely be below average. Second split should be better, but there will be a lot of water from the El Niño storms which will spread em out.

Good point on the feed, all of our jap Millet is sitting under 3 ft of water

I am not worried about this weekend, unless I get someone setting up on top of me I'll kill my birds. I just want to have them all season not just here and there.

No matter what the quality of the season is I enjoy every minute of it lots of birds or no birds, I can't wait!

I've seen some camo paint get swapped in that chute coming out of the launch in Bayou Meto more than once. Great way to start the morning. We'll go there if we have a bunch of people and don't have 'em in the timber at our place.
