.25-06 automatic

I have done some research on the internet and I really like the .25-06 caliber. I used a .243 to hunt deer as a kid and now use a .260. The situations I hunt in don't require anything more than that. I came here to inquire what anyone knows about/if its possible to put a .25-06 on an AR type platform. I would use the gun to deer hunt, but mainly to try and remedy the severe hog problem we have.

In an AR platform? Not likely. The cartridge is too long. There is a .300 Win Mag AR style rifle that is a bundle of money that would fit it but other than that the longest action is an AR-10 which is primarily a .308.

A .25-08 AR would be pretty cool.

That's the only one I know about in current production. There's probably some old remington jammomatics out there in .25-06
If you buy one, don't shoot hornady SST's at deer. They suck.
