2022 and 2023’s currently have a .5% engine failure rate due to oil starvation from improper block cleaning. Average failure mileage is around 28K so a lot of trucks still have a ways to go.
Problem was corrected after March 2023 so the 24’s are good to go from that respect.
Still holding my breath on my 2022.

Agreed. I've had a few black vehicles and I tend to avoid them now. Probably an unpopular opinion but I also tend to avoid leather seats. They are just too hot and sticky in this climate.
Black is also the hardest color to keep clean. Silver or grey have been my favorite colors on vehicles.

My preference is blue. It’s cooler than black but still IMO looks good. My current truck is black only bc I couldn’t find it in any other color. Plus black is hard to keep clean. But to each his own.

That used to not be the case for toyotas and nissans.
My 2001 4runner and 2013 xterra both looked new inside at 300k miles.
My newer nissan.... Nope.
I hoped toyota was holding strong to the thicker leather

Bought a 2023 TDR Off Road in Army green last June and have had no issues; 23,000 miles so far. A few recalls for minor issues but nothing major.

In fairness it's been almost all city miles since I swapped out. Forgot to reset it on a hour trip I made last week. If I had to guess it's be around 17 on the highway, maybe more if I'm not going 75. My ecoboost was only getting 18 on the highway with smaller tires.
But reading online I knew what to expect. Definitely happy with the mods but definitely at the pump a little more often now

I've got a '22 with 56k miles. No issues. Very happy with it thus far, and came from 2010 and 2019 Tundras. The new engine and transmission pull my 22' bay boat and 32' way better than my previous v8 tundras did. Time will tell how well that new setup compares to the old.
