One thing most people don't think about:
When you put bigger tires on, you are getting more MPG than indicated by the computer. You are traveling more miles than you truck thinks, bc it's making the calculations based off factory tire size. Bigger tires = more distance traveled per rotation of the axle.
Your odometer will also have less miles shown than what you actually have. I bought my truck with 10 miles and immediately switched to 35's. Odometer is now at 100k miles, when in reality it has closer to 106k miles.

I can take a pic of the dash in my Chevy with it getting 52mpg.
Doesn’t mean it’s correct.

There isn't anyway he is doing this like others have said unless he is driving 50-55 MPH. He would have to stay off the turbo to get that kind of mileage and you can't do that driving over 55 with 37's.

2018 F250 4x4 with the 6.2 and 4.30 rear end.
It's a mule. I love it, very satisfied with the 6.2 and 4.30 combination. Gets 15-16 mpg on the interstate at 65 and has tons of power.
Eta: it has a snow plow package and I could easily fit 37's on it without a leveling kit or anything. Damn thing is gigantic. It came from the factory with a very nice set of 33" good year wrangler all terrains

Mine is getting 18ish but it’s stock tires and I drive like a pawpaw.
Downshift is right. These trucks are quite large.

Your "friend" is full of shite.. I have a 17' King Ranch w/4" lift and 37's and 14.5-15 is what it gets.. I can easily go reset the trip in my truck and drive around the block and it'll say 20+..

The damn thing doesnt fit under my carport. I have to park it in the barn
I guess the snow plow package is why mines so tall. It's a good bit taller than most of the 17-18 super duties I pass next to.
Mine is a work truck with the stx package. Was very reasonably priced and IMO is perfectly equipped.

Mine fits under the carport but I’m not trying a parking garage.

Is that a gas truck in the picture? Where is the turbo guage? I have a 18' with 37s and you WILL NOT see 18mpg. On the other hand they are great trucks and amazing to pull with. The room in the cab alone beats a GM truck.
I bought mine from Robinson brothers in BR. I was buying used until they made a deal that pretty much priced matched.

I was wondering the same. My turbo gauge is on the top right of the cluster. A 250 with the gas engine isn’t getting that mileage though.

Bought a 17 6.7 in November of 16.
No major issues, but the water pump leaked ( a problem on early-build trucks) and they replaced it under warranty.
Very quiet on the highway.
When you change the fuel filters make sure you have less than a 1/4 of tank, otherwise you may issues draining the separator.
