Got chance to take one on the road today. Holy shite its ugly on the outside but the cummins powertrain is a absolute beast. Never driven a truck with so much power. The interior is better than any ford that I have ever owned.

Haha on the 50k...

Those stupid dealer-jacked up Sierras, the dealership is asking 70k. And sometimes getting it.

I swear the idiots...my next trick will be a work truck model, and will be all I need.

They're making a killing on "premium" truck interiors. Probably the most lucrative market right now.

The cool thing is the motor is dialed back to keep it decently mannered. If it was allowed to act like it wants you would be eating tires/axles/transmissions at every red light. It's a mean little motor.

Ha, you would think the money they put into the redesign they would have made the outside half way decent. I mean its awful. Maybe it will grow on people. I hope it works hires a ton of people up this way.

A V8 Cummins might be overkill for a half ton pick up. That's going to be one expensive truck.

From what I have heard, they tried to get ahead of certain government regulations, concerning the transmission and motor that they made a shite-ton of them in 2013 to cover the next 2 years....and they were able to circumvent these regs.

So actually manufacturing was halted on the titan after 2013 as a large number of them were warehoused and sold as 2014's even though they were made in 2013.

According to my Nissan guy, it was a good thing.

He said that the regs that are imposed on manufacturers makes for issues on top of issues. Nissan wanted to make these trucks before they could be implemented and therefore keep a better truck on the salesfloor.

Whether or not it's better, is another story.

But you have to ask your mechanic of any brand this question:

Why, after over 100 years of car-manufacturing, are there still problems with; say a transmission.

You'd think that they would have cracked the code by 2000.....found a good transmission for each body style and stuck with it, right?

However, the problem is that NTSB/NHTSA and even the EPA create silly and frivolous protocols for car/truck makers to follow. It changes, every year, but it's the government that creates these issues.
