Does that include overhead, marketing, etc.?
Average cost per truck that exits the door of the factory..that number is a few years old (4.5 or so)that is when I exited the auto industry...Ford does score highest for "most american made" or at least they did when I was in the industry - they only had about 25% of components manufactured outside the US

I use their website prices for reference, but there is no way I am flying to Houston to pick up a truck and driving it back to Tampa. It would have to be one hell of a deal.

True. The figure I saw on a recent article online was a tie between Ford and Toyota with 75% American made/assembled.

MSRP is a made up number. All manufacturers and dealerships use this as a starting point, but never focus on what you saved off MSRP. Instead shift your focus and efforts on what you can save off invoice or dealer cost.

It's really almost insane when you think about it. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price. Oh Really? You suggest that I should pay THIS much for YOUR product huh? How about I tell you how much I want to pay for your product? It's a shame really.

Unfortunately, most people do not think this way. When these 2015's hit the lots and the MPG's stats officially come out, I think there will be stampedes of people racing to the dealerships.

Buy a Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi. Best truck on the road for your money.

Shortage of cow hides in Mexico, I would say by now all OEM trim cover plants especially those in Mexico are using Water Buffalo - no one said "Genuine Saddle Leather" came from cows....Much cheaper, easier to produce and more manufacturable..

I like the new KR leather. I feel the current version is too red and may stain my khaki pants.

No thanks.

No worries. I really think the newer Rams are decent trucks. We have a 1500, 3500 laramie dually and 3500 longhorn cummins single wheel in our fleet and they are great trucks. The (3) silverados we have are as good of trucks in my opinion.

I wasnt being a dick. If you only knew how long it took me to finally narrow it down to only the f150 you would understand. My dad's buddy just got a new ecodiesel he loves.

Yeah I dont blame you at all because Ford makes a good truck. I just saw in the OP that a F-150 is running $54k. We bought a Ram 3500 longhorn cummins fully loaded for $56k. The Dodge's are a lot cheaper and they have been making a good truck recently.
