What would you value this boat as? Family member is selling and I am considering purchasing. Boat is a 2008 in excellent condition and was only used a few times a year. Was well taken care of and maintained. Motor has approximately 100-150 hours.

My first thought is that it's underpowered. Great boat tho.

I personally think $15k - $17k. Maybe $20k on high end due to low hours. Very nice boat!

A bunch of people will probably come on here saying its under powered, which champion is a heavy hull so a 200 would be preferred but 150 will do fine. I have a 150 on my 22' blazer and it does fine, I cruise at 30 mph at 3200 rpm. All about getting it propped right.

We had a 21' Bay Champ with a 250 and I think that was the smallest they made.

I was a good bit younger when we had it but we would go tubing in the lake and it would throw us around pretty good

I sure wish Stratos would revive that. Maybe make a 19/20.

If I was in the market for a bay boat, that is exactly what I would be looking for.

I have had several champion hulls over the years but not that particular one. If everything is in working order then 18-20 is the range IMO. Check it out for stress cracks as the gel coats from those years is prone to cracking thanks to the EPA.

underpowered a bit for sure.

I sold my 2005 20 ft sea champ w/ 2 stroke yammy 150 a year or so ago for 15,500. I'd agree 17,500-18,500 is right on point for a family member private party deal.

Understand that it is under-powered but it is suitable for my needs.

I have a question - would it be possible to install jumper seats where the 2 rear storage compartments are or was that just an option on the Sea Champs? From searching online it seems that i've only seen those on the sea champs. Not sure if there are kits for converting or if that would require custom work.

Thank you for the responses.

I have never seen a kit. You could just put cushions down, but I can't see putting in actual jump seats. Seems like it would require some cutting that might compromise the structural integrity.

mine didn't have jumper seats, i had storage compartments there... i'm sure there's always a way when there's a will to customize something though. I never did and always wanted the same.

Yeah i probably won't go as far as cutting. Just seeing if there were easier options.
