Go to the Help. Board or read the FAQs. One has to post pics to a site like imgur, photobucket, etc., then copy and paste to your post.

You don't need an account if you go to tinypic.com

The mc operator does not have a guide rod. The trp operator does.

Can you expound a little on this? I'm unfamiliar with 1911s

The TRP has a full length guide rod which has a hole in the plug making disassembly a bit more difficult. That's really the biggest difference.

And the other guy was mistaken. The MC Operator has a guide rod too, it's just a shorter G.I. guide rod rather than a full-size.

Touche'. I know one of the Springfield guns has a two-piece guide rod that needs a tool to disassemble. I never like needing a tool to break my gun down.

Yes the the mc operator technically has a guide rod, a GI/government type guide rod, also known as the plug, rod, and spring. When talking 1911's most folks only say full length guide rod when talking full length or two piece not GI.

So the mc had a GI setup
The trip has a full length.

Gi on right

2 piece and some can be different.

The merits of the full length guide rod (FLGR) seem to be a source of debate in the 1911 community. Some believe it is a benefit for the recoil spring while others think it is unnecessary and prefer the original style.

Customizing a 1911 is part of the fun.

Same as Bud's gun's sells it for, about $550. For a 1911 at that price point I'm extremely pleased. I've put about 200 rounds through it so far.
