that last pic is one fricking huge gator. I would think the snakes make great food for 8ft plus gators.

ETA: I would also think that with the abundance of them you could get some decent prices on snake skin boots down there

Here’s my non python snake story – while dove hunting I got in a small patch of corn that hadn’t been cut maybe 8 x 8 ‘ w my lab. Settling dn w bucket and cooler I heard rustling - went to look and OMFG it was a moccasin 5+’ long and thick as my forearm. 1st shot missed cause I was shaking so bad 2nd shot he has no head – thank the baby Jesus he didn’t bite the me or dog - ya I know local rat popn went thru the roof – IDGAF. Not sure what a mocc was doing in a bone dry harvested corn field
