Box stand on ring levee. High water has them bunched up in the swamp
Foggy and too hot
Jumped one on my plot getting in stand
Thermocell rolling but can still hear the skeeters buzzing
Also has a mouse run in the stand when I got in. He's between the carpet and wall and I'm about to get my fist kill of the season

Ladder stand in some hardwoods in a bottom, it's been real hot which has the deer screwed up but a cold front came in last night. Trying to kill one this morning then watch the game. Geaux Tigers!

You damn right. I have about 50 waiting for me in my truck just from me getting out. All this water has them on the move more than the deer

Just shot a spike right before the rain started. Thought it was a doe but oh well, they all taste the same.

It was hard to make out his "rack" at 200 yards.

Me and mini me in a box stand

Desoto parish. Steady rain

66 degrees and steadily getting colder.

Wind 15 gusting to 25 out of the NNE

So far seen a small buck and a coyote. Couldn't get the gun up quick enough to kill the coyote.

Raining its arse off, but I'm dry in a box stand
67 degrees and falling. It was 72 and dry when I walked in about 5:30.
No movement.
I'm on a creek about a half mile from a lake and I usually see a few wood ducks. None so far...

Hill country Texas
49 with light rain
.270 and brought the ball and chain.
2nd deer of the morning was a nice 3 or 4 year old 8pt. Probably go 125-130. Couldnt pull the trigger 15 min in to the season. Pretty decent deer for our place. May regret it.

I hate to say it, but speaking from experience, not only will you regret it but in the back of your head you probably already do.
