Louisiana public land.
on a hunt in sherburne when it first opened - about 50.

private land near whiteville 25 most any of those were bigger than any 3 deer combined I saw at sherburne in 80s.

Navy Base hunt in florida 1987 easily 100, two days four hunts - never went more than 15 mins without seeing 2 or 3 go by.... Yellow Water Naval Weapons Storage Area - access was very limited and heavily restricted - hunting and fishing there was other worldly.....

We got a stand that sits on the corner of a pipeline and powerline, i have seen 80+ deer on that stand multiple times, a lot of them are the same deer crossing back and forth and may be 1000yrds away though

The first couple years after Cat Island became a refuge, it was nothing to see 15-20 deer between a morning and evening hunt. If i didn't see several deer in a sit, i moved. Most of the deer i saw were within bow range. Unfortunately it will never be like that again.

Hard to say. Pressure, several lottery gun hunts, or maybe the former leasees didn't shoot enough does and now it's where it needs to be. I don't know.

THe hogs did get worse and worse every passing season, that's for sure.

Back 10-15 years ago I could sit on my deer stand over looking one of the fingers of Thompson's creek north of St. Francisville and see 25-35 deer on any given evening hunt.

One evening I saw over 50 with 9 rack bucks included...

Since then the numbers continued to go down until finally the past 3-4 years I was lucky to see 1-3 a hunt until last year when the numbers increased again to about 6-10 a hunt. Not sure why.

Hunting the Buffalo creek, bayou what ever it was in Pond Ms. No blinds just sitting on a log. This was in the late 70's. Right at daylight I hear a stampede coming at me and was wondering why there was so many cows or horses in these woods. Wasn't either. It was in a bottom obviously and could see the deer thru the thicket about 50 yds from me. Was hunting with a shotgun. Somewhere around 20-30 deer I believe.

Too many to count, but easily 200+. Mule deer bucks and does were in an alfalfa field in Wyoming. I would assume the land was private, but it was not fenced. I was told it was a fairly common occurrence when it was snowing heavily in the upper elevations.

150+. Hunting Old Miss club in high water. Unreal to see that many deer running in 2'-3' of water.

I have family that’s been hunting in that general area (in MS) and there has been a steady decline the past years but last season was better for them also. Still a lot of hogs.

They are probably less than a mile as a crow flies from where Woodstock is.
