After a couple years of debate, the answer was settled by my lunch at Zaxby's this afternoon. Zaxby's is better. That is all. Enjoy your Mardi Gras.

The only thing better about Zaxbys is they have a larger menu. If only comparing their basic chicken tenders and toast, then Canes wins.

Who cares? I would never eat at either of them if I had other options.

Places I would choose over both of them :

Popeyes
BoJangles
Taco Bell
ChikFil a
Wendy's
What A Burger
Brothers
Five Guys
KFC
Galatoires Bistro
Etc.

Guthries is better than both. Of course, copies are rarely as good as the ORIGINAL!

This.
Especially if you get the big family size aluminum container of tenders at Cane's and the humidity in there makes them all nice and soft. Mmmmmm

Canes tenders aren't even good, the sauce makes them decent. Toast is great but that's it.

Actual chicken tenders and sauce are better at canes

Everything else is better at zaxbys

That's your answer

Neither does it for me... does anyone remember the chicken tenders at the old Calendar's, shopping center at corner of Highland and E. Boyd? Best anywhere, ever.

I can't say I agree with this...I have both here in MS and find Canes better every single time. My only beef with canes is that I sometimes spend $12 or $13 and don't get full, which pisses me off royally.

I actually had some canes in Biloxi a little while back and they gave some damn huge tenders...the way canes was when it all started.
