Would not recommend GM.
I have a Tundra and like it. The reliability is great, lots of power and it rides really well. Gas mileage is terrible, and I'm not a fan of the multilevel floor in the back (wish it had load-flat floors). It also doesn't have the bells and whistles that Ford and GM now have.
My dad has a new F150 and it's also a great truck. The 360 camera is awesome, and it rides like a luxury car.
Either one would be a great decision.

It has way more room, more horsepower and there is a noticeable difference when you drive the two. I have driven them back to back.

Get the tundra and don't sweat it. If you're looking for Bells and whistles there isn't one thing that the tundra doesn't have that you need.
It has everything. Toyota offers everything that anyone else does if you are matching apples to apples.
The resale value on that Toyota is head and shoulders above the z71.

The Toyota definitely doesn't have the amenities of the Z71, I don't need them but they are nice; dual climate control, individual tire pressure readouts, oil life monitor, the navigation system is way better, wireless charging, the apps for the truck are also way better.

What can I say man, I like to know what the weather is like where I am headed.

Tundra
Also, the Tundra does have dual climate control.

the depreciation on a tundra will win this. I bought a tundra in 2016 and drove it for 10 months(12k miles). A drunk driver hit me and totaled the truck. The depreciation was 2k. Just buy a Tundra and be done with it. If you're worried about mileage you're OT poor.

Who gives a shite about depreciation on a company car?
And my step moms flooded denali got an insurance check for as much as they paid for it and it had 25k miles on it.

Hands down the Tundra - I have the 2010 Platinum Edition and can't ask for a better truck. Side note - I also have 3 car seats and you cannot beat the room in this truck!!

What the hell do you do for a living that has you cranking out 60k miles a year
Posted on 2/20/17 at 5:37 am to Franktowntiger7
I have a Tundra with over 118,000 miles. I should get another 150-200,000 miles before I move on. Been a great truck.

14' Denali 6.2, got 107k on it right now. Not one issue. Best truck I have ever owned.

You aren't comparing apples to apples then. Toyota offers everything you listed outside of wireless charging.
The oil life is no difference than the maintenance life on the Toyota. It will tell you when you need an oil change.
The app set up on entune is as good as it gets.
You buy what you want but if those are the deciding factors you have made up your mind already

Questions Op,
Why aren't you looking at the Ford?
How long do you plan to own it?
At the price levels you are talking about, you could get a truck with the same options as the Z71 but with a lighter chasis (gas mileage) and better interior.
At 55K miles/year on a company vehicle, I'd have to at least give Ford a look.
Tundras and Ford have been said to have the best handling trucks on the road.
Maintenance shouldn't be an issue for you that much bc the company will cover the costs. You could extend the warranty and follow the manufacturer's recommended care.
