From a guy that's owned a z71 and a Tundra...Tundra wins all day.

The Tundra doesn't have as many bells and whistles but that isn't what I needed. I'm looking to drive it to 200,000 w/o a lot of maintenance issues.

Nothing the OP says makes sense. Why are you driving 55k miles a year in a truck? Furthermore, if its a company car why do you care about the depreciation, the price, and the mileage? I really don't understand half the questions.

I'd drive a Taco under those conditions.

If you drove a Taco under those conditions, you'd be pissing blood from beating your kidneys to death...

Industrial sales, will be doing some hauling myself for the job. I will be driving from the Northshore to the plants in and around New Orleans 4 days out of the week. It's not a company truck, it's mine but they give me a $1250 a month check for the truck; note, insurance and gas. That amount isn't going to quite cover everything, so costs and depreciation are important to me. I have a Taco and I love it but I will have a 3rd car seat in the back in a few months. Ford's and Dodges are out for me as I just flat out don't care for the look of them, especially Dodges.

I'd go with the Z71. I put about 160,000 miles on one before I traded it in. No issues, and it was very comfortable.

I miss that truck.

My buddy, who drives a Tundra, tells me all the time how much of a smoother ride my Silverado is compared to his Tundra...
