They do it to look like everyone else. They're massive replicators. It makes zero sense beccause women typically hate each other yet want to all look alike.
Now look at men. Other than a few weird subcultures that pop up every decade, men in their 30s and up still wear simple shite like polos, button down shirts, etc.

I used to fly to Quito a lot, very cheap everything down there, it was a very popular place for flight attendants to have permanent makeup(tats?) applied, they'd have it done on the layover, they looked like shite when we got to the hotel as it was, but when it was time to leave it looked like the dawn of the living dead meeting up
