my name was not common growing up, but now it is pretty normal amongst younger children.

sidenote, there is no one under the age of 49 named debbie.

I go by my second name.

My first name hit it's peak in 1952, 10 years before I was born.

Now my second name hit it's peak in 1930.

Also, ~ 97% of people with that name are white.

Surprisingly second place, about 2% are black.

I think the reason for 2nd place is that many black people served in the Army in Europe. Lot's of Frauleins.

surges and lulls in popularity (see you in 2028, class of Bellas and Jacobs)

Umm, no. Jacob was the most popular boy name from 1999-2012, breaking up 'Michael's' reign from 1961 until then. Twilight is irrelevant.

I once worked with a girl named "Aquarius". I was able to correctly guess that she was born in 1972.

My name went from around #250 a decade before I was born to top 10 a couple of years after I was born. It's now back in the high 100s.

My name never was in the top 100 in the past 80 years. Made it to 112 the year I was born. It is at 450 now.

Names like Mason, Aiden, and Ethan seem really popular for male children right now.
