Who's doing the last chance CLEs?
Posted on 12/8/16 at 11:15 am to JudgeHolden
all i need is one hour of ethics so i'll probably do one of those videos for $60
Posted on 12/8/16 at 11:15 am to JudgeHolden
Only have 10 hours left.
Posted on 12/8/16 at 11:16 am to JudgeHolden
Someone I may or may not know perhaps hasn't kept track of their CLE credits in years. Or so I've heard.

Those are a good deal. I need three more hours.

I have carry over thanks to approval of some out of state hours at a client retreat!
BTW, Branson sucks.

I've been minutes away from suspension based on noncompliance.

check your local bar
i know lafayette is doing like two or 3 hours of training a day for people to catch up
i like the video because I can just mute it and minimize it while i work
i guess the irony is that it will be a video on ethics

I've never even heard of anyone being audited. That being said, my firm regularly has in-house sessions, most of which I attend, so I'm probably OK.

i did a 40 hour course in alabama in january so i've got plenty of hours
they had a professional responsibility segment but no ethics segment, so naturally i've waited 11 months to complete that

I go to two seminars every year that always have both, so I am never in a bind on those.

i'm in Ga, and I'll get started after holidays. We have until the end of March with no penalties. i'm a cheap arse now that there is no "firm" to pay for them. I go to cheap and free ones at Emory and the mediation place. They have Chick-Fil-A usually, so there's that.

Someone I know may or may not have waited until June of the following year to complete hours.
Posted on 12/8/16 at 11:22 am to JudgeHolden
For once (in 20 years) I didnt wait until Dec to get my hours.

Texas is that way too. Your compliance year starts on your birth month. But it is a little bit of a pain when you are licensed in multiple states with differing deadlines and requirements.

I have 14 CPE hours to get in the next 23 days.
ugh
ugh
Posted on 12/8/16 at 11:23 am to gadknot
Dang! That sucks. Can you do CPE online?
Posted on 12/8/16 at 11:27 am to JudgeHolden
Got 1.05 carryover from last year so I'm looking pretty strong.

Every year I see multiple people come in during the last hour of the end-of-the-year two day seminar and fill out the ticket for attending the whole thing.
Thank God my laptop battery lasts 10 hours and the place has wifi.
