Alabama fans set up shop right in front of us. We rented 4 chairs

Piss bombs would have worked

I read that they aren't suppose to get in front of the chair rentals and some beaches have ordinances for that...I read it on here so not sure if that is true

There are ordinances and I wasn't going to ask the cabana boy to do the dirty work and run them off. I just asked them to leave. It just grinds my gears that people are that rude.

I've had much less patience for people who aren't aware of others around then. Costco, sams club, Heb. People, be aware of those around you! Don't stop in the middle of an isle intersection.
I would've wanted to say something to them too.

I wouldn't have done shite. I know what I'm getting into when I vacation at the Redneck Riviera and I enjoy it for what it is. I would've invited the Gumps to talk to my kids about the choices they made in life to end up where they were. Teachable moments and whatnot.

I would've brandished my revolver, which I always keep visibly fashioned in my holster as a responsible gun owner.

You were far more civil than I would have been. That's cool your wife is all "non-confrontational", but she should have known you weren't asking them to move for you - it was for your family.

SMH, women are nuts.

Is it possible that your wife is right and you were rude? My wife would've said I was rude too, but that's because I would've thrown at least one of them in the water.

That doesn't include an obstructed view of the water. That's not part of the deal.

Smoking should not be allowed on a public beach.

What would the OT do?

If you rented beach chairs and umbrellas tell the rental people. The rentals are supposed to be the front row. Let the rental people handle it.

You know what grinds my gears?

When I get my brand new Ferrari detailed and I'm cruisin down the interstate at 75 mph, lookin cool, feelin cool and I'm coming up behind this car doing 70 in the fast lane and this piece of shite, driving some piece of shite car, probably on his way to his piece of shite house has to clean his windshield out in front of me just at that particular moment.

frick people like that. Bunch of rude asses.

Being worried about second-hand smoke in a highly breezy, completely open outdoor area and setting up your beach spot far enough away from the shore to allow another family to comfortably take up camp in front of you is new-age trashy.

So some people were trying to enjoy themselves on the beach, having a few smokes, hanging out, and you acted like a maniac telling them to move, and they politely obliged? And then you start a thread bitching about it on the OT lounge?

Sweet life.

I think just pointing out to your kids that you're vacationing at the Redneck Riviera would be a clear enough message on poor life choices.

Next time let your wife breath in that crap and tell her you don't want to be rude to the natives.
