I don't have a problem with it. Yea, sucks dad was driving like an idiot, but tons of people drive like idiots from time to time. Doesn't mean they wanna die. I hate it for the family, I can't even imagine

I've had a terrible experience with GoFundMe where the friend I gave money to for an adoption lied to everyone about how committed they were to said adoption and tried to hide it when they gave him up for adoption themselves. Never again.

I wouldn't support it but just because I've never sent money for anything on GoFundMe

You're not sympathetic to the wife and brother?

Yea, this is basically the biggest issue in America right now, that mentality, where so many think it's cool to not give a shite about anyone. Keep on keepin on tough guy!!!!

I don't believe in paying for someone because they were too cheap/stupid to carry the proper amount of insurance. Therefore, there are not too many Go Fund Me stories I would consider.

I think it's trashy as frick. Why should the family profit off their deaths? He should have a job and life insurance policy to cover funeral costs.

As a disclaimer, I agree on not donating, it's just not my battle to fight for.

But are they really profiting if they're just trying to cover funeral costs?

Probably not. I just donated to someone I barely know. He has cancer and just had his leg amputated. Going in to have more chemo with some serious bills. To me, that's the type of things GoFundMe is made for.

I don't do gofundme at all anymore unless it's a very specific case. Too many friends begging for money for various things all the while living it up and taking vacations.

Nature mandates destruction (or something like that) and nature won. Sorry for them, but no to the donation.

If I were a friend of the family, probably. They might need the help. As an outsider, no.
