I mean, someone who doesn't know how to defend in the ring could very well end up with permanent brain damage from Tyson in his prime. Maybe not "vegetative state" kind of brain damage, but it could have permanent ramifications on motor skills or brain function if you took one of his hooks straight to the noggin.
