Inspired by the movie passengers. It would be round trip, 80 years both ways. Spend 5 years exploring the new world and then return to Earth. When you return you are only 5 years older but 165 years have passed. You would get to see what the future is like but everyone you know is long dead. No you are not guaranteed to bang Jennifer Lawrence.

If I didn't have family, absolutely. But I'm not gonna not see my kids ever again.

After my kids are supporting themselves, I would love to help humanity progress past this world. It is our only chance for long term survival.

This is not accurate. If you were in travel for 160 years at 90% the speed of light, when you returned 360 years would have passed on earth.

Because that story would be boring AF.

"The passengers awoke from cryosleep and everything was great. The end."

That long...nah. It would be a trip to be gone for 20 years and only age five. My son's and I would be close to the same age. We could chase girls together.

I don't like my family and friends much anyway. I'd take the trip.

And if the ship was traveling at 99.999999% the speed of light, 116,800 years would pass on earth in the 160 years you were traveling on the ship.
