if I wanted out the relationship like he obviously did, then sure.
I tend to think with my temper I would spend at least a weekend locked up with a broken set of knuckles.

"Caught" is used broad here. From his language, he knew she was cheating, he witnessed it and captured it too.

Hah in Louisiana she can sort coke off the judge's podium and still get custody. It is almost that bad for fathers here.

Not sole custody. Joint custody is the default barring real problems with one parent.
