the fact that it had a name on it would not enter in the decision to buy or not to buy.

Oh Ok...Yeah when I signed up under that name .. I was doing it to be funny.. never factored in the negative consequences that could also follow..

That's kind of like saying the diamond for the engagement ring I bought my wife should come with the name of the African kid that was killed mining it.

Maybe a refrigerator magnet that reminds us that 25 cents a month matters?

And, don't forget the drastic price increase that would go along with it...

I give all my steaks and burgers names and a little back story as I am eating it.

"This steak came from Raymond, son of Robert and Ethel. He lived in Texas on a rolling country side where he feasted like a king on grains and grass. He was killed on March 10, and slaughtered weeks later. I can tell by the marbling that he was a heavyset fellow, but he tastes like he a had good sense of humor and was liked by all the other cows. Thanks, Raymond."

The only thing I may look for besides marbling or fat content is if it is LA beef bc I like to support the local.

It could come with a video of the cows life from birth to death narrated by Sarah McLachlan and I would still buy it and eat it.

I would still eat the cow.

In fact, I would eat the cow even if I had the chance to meet it in person and thank it for giving itself to me for nourishment. I would tell the cow that I will pray for it to have a better Next Life as a Human Being, for that is the Way of the Light.

You can call my T-Bone Norman if it makes you feel better. All I'm concerned about is that its cooked right.

I would be less likely to eat the cow if I knew it had a name. However, I would be more likely to eat it if I knew where it was raised, killed, DOB and DOD.

Once you name something you should not eat it.
