I've had cats and dogs. I figured I would keep the horse in the house.

Plus no speeding tickets is awesome

Firefighters asking for donations at intersections would be considerably harder to ignore on a horse. And horses don't have auxiliary inputs.

Horses are money pits.

Feeding a horse at 1.25% body weight for 1200Lb horse = 105 lbs of feed a week. That'll be around $30 a week.

Hay at the 1.5% body weight for 1200lb horse = 126Lbs of hay. That'll be around $25 a week depending on type of hay.

$55.00 a week just for feed, which is moderate.

Vet bills will be high considering the use.

Factor in housing and there's no way it's economical. There's a reason we have cars.

How often does a horse used that often need a vet? You'll get your mouth ripped out.

But car assout in snow. And they can just not even start when it is cold out. Dog and cat owners should have no stress in keeping a horse alive and well. Plus dealing with drivers license, plates, tags, etc. can be a pain. And you are more likely to die in a car accident than having an accident where you fall off a horse.

And speeding tickets are only for automobile drivers, not horse riders.

You forgot the horseshite part. That's a job program too. Someone's gotta shovel that in 100 degree temps. Lord have mercy.

Would a log cabin built by hand be cheaper than your house?

Yes, of course. Why wouldn't it be? Especially if I own the timber already.

My truck has air conditioning. A horse does not.

My truck will keep my dry/safe while traveling in bad weather. A horse will not.

My truck requires I pay attention to it once every two weeks for gas and washing. A horse requires daily attention.

My truck has the power of 381 horses. A single horse has the power of 1.

My truck has a massive back seat in which I can bang nasty sluts. A horse does not.

Automobiles pollute the planet worst than horse dump.

I guess a lot of people dont care to cut down on pollution.

Horses are expensive. Vet bills, immunizations, winter feed when the grass dies, fencing, saddles, shoes, ect don 't come cheap

Owning a horse is expensive. You can buy a horse for 10 cents a lb. Hell people will give you the dang ol horse if you buy the tack.

One thing to consider, if you have multiple horses (male and female), you could technically reproduce new horses for new drivers when your children were of age.

Also, if there were able to ride the horse to school, no car pool lines.

My horse costs me much more than my car.

If I throw in the one at the track....

Id have a really nice car.

Both my car and my horse break all the time so they are equally stressful.
