Movie/Location

Forgetting Sarah Marshall/Jackson,MS

So I sit down with my senorita and we get situated. There's a preview on "I Love You, Man". A couple had their little shithead sitting next to us, kid is around 4 and in the theater for this film. He starts chocking on a popcorn kernel and the mom starts screaming like a banshee out of the 8th circle of Hell. The dad then proceeds to give him the heimlich maneuver and the kid lets loose of the popcorn and it lands directly on my hand. I have a mini freakout, not because of the child, but because of the regurgitated popcorn that landed on me. The she-beast then proceeds to start yelling at the top of her lungs "WHAT THA HELL ARE YOU UPSET ABOUT?" in her thick south Jackson voice. Then refused to leave the theatre when the ushers rushed in. Needless to say I left the theater, lest I end up on a episode of Steve Wilkos show live from a cinema, but got a nice la mamada afterwards. How about you OT?

I worked at a movie theatre in high school.

We had a guy who worked there who was handicapped in a wheel chair so he couldn't do much. He usually took tickets at the podium.

He eventually got promoted to supervisor, and he was a total dick. We all were cool with him when he was a normal employee and kind of felt bad for him because of his condition, but when he became supervisor he was too much. Way too bossy and a major power tripper. One night he took it too far and I got mad and kicked over a trash can to vent my anger.

I didn't get fired, instead the guy got demoted back to ticket taker at the podium. Apparently way too many employees complained to management about his power tripping and my kicking the trash can was the last straw.

1. Nim's Island - couple of wild-arse, movie-hopping kids carrying on like the auditorium was an outdoor playground while everyone in the audience tried to act like nothing was going on

2. The Exorcist Re-release - some thug walked in during the middle of the movie and proceeded to have a phone conversation with a friend about some Steelers game just to frick up everyone's moviegoing experience. After a few minutes, he abruptly got up and left.

3. The shitty single mother who brought her toddlers to the Saw screening I attended.

Needless to say, I rarely goto the theater anymore because people have no respect in public for others anymore.

Worst part about it was the movie itself.

I can't find it, but someone on the movie board posted a story about being in a theater with an entire busload of special ed kids, one of whom was loudly shitting himself throughout the movie. It was one of the funniest things I've ever read, but again, I can't find it.

Mine was Star Trek: Generations. There was a special kid in the front row who kept yelling "ENGAGE! ENGAGE! ENGAGE!" the entire movie. It was funny for about the first half hour.

Went to see "This Is It" and the woman sitting next to me was sobbing the whole time and speaking to MJ as though he could hear her.

"Moonwalk Michael!! Moonwalk for me!!"
"You were so talented MJ!! Your greatness will be missed!"

At first it was annoying and then it got really strange.

Went a few weeks ago and saw Monument Men, pretty good flick. Theater behind Mall Of Louisiana has 3 or 4 cop cars out front to "keep the peace" what with all of the young hoodlums running around acting like animals. Told the S.O. i am done with trying to go out and have a dinner and a movie. Too much trash out, people do not know how to act in a public setting. They were probably all hopped up to see Ride-Along or whatever it it's called. I'm done...

I went to see Life, starring Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy on opening night at the Elmwood Palace.

Yeah...

2 African American ladies get into a fight over a chair next to a guy in the middle of the movie. They start fighting in the aisle.

One of them gets pulled out of the theater. As she is leaving. She takes a full, large coke and throws into the crowd.

Pandemonium ensues. Good times.

I'd say those that decided to see Batman in Aurora, Colorado had the worst movie theatre experience.

History teacher in high school has told us several stories of him chewing out teenagers at movie theaters for texting and talking.

But the best story he told us was when him and his wife saw a teenage girl sitting in a teenage boys lap and the girl began moving up and down. Before my teacher could say anything, an old woman stood up, clapped her hands twice to get the teens attention, and yelled "QUIT HAVING SEX IN THE MOVIE THEATER."
