They have a miniature deer that populate Japan's Yakushima Island (between Honshu and Okinawa). They are semi-tame and get to large dog size at their largest individual. Yakushima would be on my bucket list if I hadn't already been there. Really cool place but beware that almost no one speaks much Engrish.

There are members of my hunting club who would shoot it then claim it looked a lot bigger thru the scope.
