OP realizes that women are from Venus and heterosexual men are from Mars.

The described BS is just some of what women do.

OP: These folks (pictured below) don't have to endure it, why don't you join them if you don't want to have to deal with female BS:

No doubt, I've learned from previous indiscretions. Even a thought in mistrust can be detrimental.

But still, what the frick? Should I just cut off all contact with ex's? Be a huge dick and deal with short term consequences as opposed to long term?

Women want what they can't have.

Like Eve and the apple, they crave the forbidden, the taboo.

And like Adam, we take a tempting bite and it tastes so good, and pay for it dearly.

There is zero chance any of my past ex's knew I was into something.

It's like one had a premonition and then convened a tribal council on fricking with Alex and they all voted yes.

Yeap. Happens to me. Get in a new relationship and girls from the past hit you up out of nowhere.

Also seem to get hit on more when I'm in a relationship then when I'm not.

women have no sixth sense...they just randomly pop in and out of your life to enjoy some attention. you, on the other hand, are probably just overly sensitive to it because you are subliminally trying not to miss out on a chance for some bonus poon.

Most of us are far less invisible than we'd like to believe, especially with social media.

That, and women talk.

Take it as a compliment that you've left a positive imprint that has them coming back to the well.

depends on who you value more in your life. who brings more value to your life.

eta: i have no issue cutting someone out of my life for the person i love. i also have cut people out of my life that i should have chosen over my SO.

interesting that he admits something is off in his relationship and notices the texts from his ex tempting him.

perhaps, OP, in previous situations when an ex has texted you while in a new relationship, maybe you were happy with that relationship at the time and didn't think of it as a tempting text.

it could all be about perception.

eta: and frick my two downvoters in here. i'm being helpful for gobs sake.

Nothing wrong, just a temptation brought upon that wasn't called for, solicited or even warranted.

I've succumb in the past with this situation.

It's amazing that it continues with women, no matter how different they are from one another.

Eventually it only ends up hurting everyone.

Then I'm back at square one. I'm not a glutton for relationship pain anymore.

ok Studly Hungwell, so the women just can't live without you(you sound like a dork,) but you can't cut the cord with them if you are in a new relationship? (esteem issues? or just keeping fwbs on call?)
