I know this guy is not capable of molesting his 1 year old daughter but a friend of mine's wife was in counseling and said something that sounded an alarm and the counselor reported it to OSI. He is military and is being separated from his family until this is cleared up. She is deaf and doesn't communicate well and is way overreactive. She doesn't think men should change baby girls' diapers. Granted a man rubbing diaper cream could be weird but if you're a good dad you take care of rashes. She is a terrible mom and he has setup cameras that show her letting the baby cry bloody murder while watching TV. Also she just cheated on him the week prior to this counseling session which was supposed to be about saving the marriage. They had one session together and this was a private follow up for her to work on her issues.

Should face the exact sentence the man would have faced for the crime he was falsely accused of committing.

I get where you are going, but nothing that you said in your post sounds like she accused him of rape or child abuse...

ETA: however, when someone is falsely accused, there should certainly be consequences...

My ex did it to me. Accused me of a lot. Fortunately my ex is also stupid and her accusations desolved under questioning. All in all I guess I'm just lucky to not be around her anymore. Things work out and you find a new normal, maybe even a better normal.

too bad your friend married a screwball...he's not alone in that

just be a friend to him, just listen, lend an ear...don't participate in name calling etc, it could later backfire on ya...

We don't know what she said except that it triggered an OSI investigation into his treatment of his daughter and that it involves molestation or inappropriate touching.

Why is this weird? I overheard someone saying he refuses to change his daughter's diaper just because she's a girl. He said it just doesn't seem right.

For one, making false statements under oath is perjury. Or there can be prosecution and civil damages for defamation/libel/false light depending on the circumstances/laws of the jurisdiction.

So just the standard slap on the wrist and possibility of obtaining a judgement that will never be paid?

There needs to be laws made with some teeth for both men and women who do this.

Not really, man. Depending on the level of the false accusations (in the context of perjury), you can do some serious jail time.

There is a certain former (present under an alter) poster Who did the exact same thing, and now she has supervised visitation. In my opinion she should have faced jail time.

To any person who suffers this fate, I suggest only the following advice:

Do not spare any expense to prove your innocence. Do everything in your power to protect both you and your child. This is abuse of some of the worst kind.
