I admittedly do most of the driving in my relationship it is not symbolic of who is in charge, it is because my wife wants the luxury of being driven everywhere.

I'm sorry, is this NOT Beta?

In all seriousness, who drives for us depends on whose car is parked closer, or who finds their keys first, etc. I'll never understand why people overthink the shite out of this type of thing.

If a guy makes the woman drive and she doesn't like that arrangement, then it is shitty. Otherwise, who cares?

We drive one vehicle 80% of the time, and it happens to be her beloved car. If something happens to it, I'd prefer not to be behind the wheel. Of course, in circumstances where snow/ice/heavy rain is involved, I drive her car, as both of us prefer that.

The fact that any of you even let your woman out of the kitchen is disturbing.

You sound like my GF. Rarely in accidents, while I've been in a number of small time accidents (hitting poles, minor damage, other dumb stuff).

However, she still ALMOST gets in accidents way more frequently than I do, she just somehow never does.

I have a friend who does all the driving in their relationship, she is also the bread winner. Her husband has taken more of the household duties. It works for them and that's all that matters.

I do not take on the driving duties because I have a horrible sense of direction and I drive like a grandma.

I hate to drive, and my fiance hates my driving. So he drives.

I don't trust my gf to drive further than the store and back. She has no sense of direction and even with a gps will get lost.

Needless to say, I drive 99% of the time.

I do most of the driving as well. Especially on road trips. Once in a while if I need to nap for an hr I let her take over. I prefer it that way. I trust myself that much more than her

We split driving, esp on roadtrips. Most of the time now we go in my Jeep though because my husband has his hard top off his and I don't want my hair messing up. So many of the time I'll drive cause it's my Jeep and it's new and I still love driving it. Or I'll hand him the keys and he will drive. Doesn't really matter to me.

When I have "jeep hair"(meaning we aren't going someplace nice and my hair is in a ponytail, braids, etc) he'll drive and take his jeep cause it is more fun riding in his.

My ex-wife used to always drive just because her car was more comfortable than my Jeep Wrangler and pickup truck and got literally about 3 times the gas mileage. Plus I HATED driving that thing because I could never get everything set to where I could comfortably reach the steering wheel without my knees either being in the dash or the seat was so straight up that I was damn near leaning forward in the seat. So I just sat back, enjoyed the ride, and did what all alphas do anyway.....

Controlled the fricking radio.

seems 80% of male posters have no idea what an alpha male is. probably think John Wayne was an alpha but it's widely believed by peeps who knew him closely that he was either bi or homosexual.

Yup. Never let a woman drive if you yourself are capable.

My wife does all the driving because she is a terrible back-seat driver and I don't want to hear it. I'm just fine riding, napping, looking at my phone, etc.

This:

quote:

I drive everywhere simply because I don't mind driving and my gf's driving scares the shite out of me

But also this:

quote:

the only way I can tolerate my wife's driving is if I've drunk too much to drive, so it's convenient that way.
