She's getting paid. I should be more stupid and look for things like this so I can be a shite head member of society and get a settlement for being a dipstick.

if I was on a jury that shite wouldn't get a dime. You're telling me that she didn't see a 2 foot wall in front of her 5" before she walked into it and magically flipped over the fricking thing? frick this bitch looking for a check. Downvote the frick out of me and frick her. There is no way possible she was walking and fell into that thing anyway but on purpose.

That's what I was thinking. But this day in age people love to claim disabilities they don't actually have. It is a multi-$billion industry.

I think the headline should be:
"It's a miracle!! Blind woman can now read texts and walk without any visual aids"

In the video you see her look at it, then pull her phone out and intentionally fall in. Any lawyer worth his weight in salt can prove it was purposeful.

Dude! you might be on to something. I had to re-watch it.

1. She is walking, no phone.
2. She had plenty of time to see the open doors.
3. Just before getting near the open doors she lifts her phone up.
4. Tumble.

There are people who go around looking for payday opportunities and I think you are right about this one. Good catch.

Looks to me like she purposely tipped herself over into the hole. She should get nothing.

And even after she hit it it seemed like she didn't need to fall... like the momentum wasn't enough to take her over the doors but she made herself fall in.

It was weird watching it. Didn't seem natural.

Edit: after watching again on a bigger screen, it might be legit. She couldn't stop her momentum even though it was really slow because she had nothing to grab onto with her hands.

She redirected toward the hole right before she pulls the phone up.

I think she meant to fall. Just don't think she thought it was that deep!

She walked at least an entire damn block staring straight at that door and didn't look at her phone until right before she walked into it.

Bullfrickingshit she didn't see it.

That is all I thought of when I watched the video. She is a nice looking lady.

Edit: I thought of Me smashing her, not you smashing her. That would be weird.

Looks like she staged it. Ran into the front of the cellar door and then slowly (slowly) fell over. Not buying this.

They deserve to get sued. Major safety violations with leaving that hole open like that.

Assess a penalty, but don't give the old lady anything for purposefully falling in.
