At her net worth and income level, she would be hammered on health insurance premiums forcing her to either work longer than she wants or to pick up a side job during her retirement years. Then she looks up and sees this grossly overweight teenager with piercings about to buy 6 cupcakes and knows that her insurance premiums are subsidizing the fat girl's unhealthy lifestyle.

Good for her. People across the board should be nicer to one another. That being said, the world needs to approach obesity and even just being overweight the same way they did with cigarettes. Everyone understands what the consequences are of that unhealthy behavior and are still free to do it if they so choose.

The real winner in this story is the bakery owner, but what kind of bakery sells cupcakes for ~$2.70 each? How are they turning a profit and why did they only have 20?

The bakery was having a sale before closing for the night.
Fat girl couldn't help herself with cupcakes on sale, no surprise.
