I was thinking about it, the lug world have to be so that you couldn't get a socket or a tool on it.

Some of the best use security torx drivers, but they are hard to torque.

Honestly best thing would be to have all lock lugs, would make it really hard to steal them

Do those locking lug nuts prevent people from being able to take tires off?

No!

All you need is a large socket and tap it on with a hammer and Boom!

That's loud though.
So the more locking lugs the less chance of theft.

Well anywhere uptown is walking distance to the hood. It's the way it is.

My wife's old beat up Hyundai was broken into for the factory radio years ago, in a gated apartment complex in BR. frickers will steal anything.

Can take them all off in less than ten minutes.
Remove lugs.
Then Jack up rear end, remove back tires.
Jack up front remove front wheels.

Sounds like you know a thing or two about this...Where were you last night?

Have the cops come dust your car for prints. Maybe they can run them and get a match.

This. Back in college when I lived off of Staring lane, someone broke into my car twice. After the second time, I called the cops and they said they couldn't do anything. Well as I was driving to work, the dew was drying up on my windows and I could clearly see fingerprints. I called the cops back and they took the fingerprints....Six or seven months later I get a call from BRPD. They asked me if I knew some thug whose name I don't remember. I said no. Then they asked me if there was any reason he would be riding in my car. I said no again. Then they finally told me they arrested someone breaking into cars whose prints were on my car. I said lock his arse up.
