i'm fed up with lizardskins..simply doesn't hold up long enough IMO. the skin is..wait for it..shedding and looks terrible. i've tried to save it with excess electrical tape but that isn't really helping much.

fizik microtek? cinelli cork? what do you find holds up the best these days and is comfortable?

Both work wonders. You can find them cheaply on Amazon

I agree, the Lizardskin stuff sucks. It wears way too soon.

I am a fan of fizik tape. It's durable, easy to clean, and not too thick.

My problems with cork tape are that it has the opposite traits listed above.

not to mention is 2x as expensive as fizik..running $35-$40 online in most places plus shipping.

I was using the Arundel Gecko Grip and it was the most comfortable tape I have ever used.

When I upgraded my aero bars they had something similar by Zipp and it is just about as good and about the same price.

Cad - have you been following any of the riders on Strava?

Even as the pros go, his wattage was a little less than what I have been seeing other places. Most I saw were well over 300 yesterday.

Held up great. I had it for probably a year and only changed it because I got new bars.

I've been using Arundle Gecko bar tape ( LINK) for about a year now. I be replaced it once so far after a winter of lots of trainer riding (which I think lots of sweat ruined the tape).

I have Fizik microtek on my Time trial bike. It is amazing.

The lizard skin on my road bike is decent, but after riding in the rain it did take awhile to dry out.

Fizik Performance. I think it's new this year. It's 3mm thick. Just enough thickness, but not too much.

1660W sprint!!

I was a not-so-casual observer of his attack to get away in the winning break. I'm still kicking myself for not being smart enough to be in position to at least try to go with the move. Bad positioning, bad racing on my part.

No, that was for Laurens ten Dam. I am also following David Lopez, Lars Boom, Marcus Burghardt, Roy Jérémy and

Ted King (he had something like 17 KOMs yesterday)
