Do you have unlimited data for each line? I'm also renting the phones. If you already own phone, props to you.

Calling bull shite. My same plan with Sprint and 5 users is $360/mo.

WTF!

You need some Project Fi in your life.

My wife and I keep our total bill around $60/month.

OK. So, without a bunch of Money Board words, tell me when my bill is going to go down.

About the same time you notice this food deflation I keep hearing is wrecking supermarkets.

An ATT tech told me a while back that everything will be wireless within 5 years. No more wired internet.

Same thing 2 AT&T linemen have told me in the last 18 months.

Said to be prepared for company to really push hard for people to go completely wireless.

Call at&t and tell them that you are thinking of switching. You have been a customer for 10yrs. I did that and got my plan reduced to 72$ per month for 2 phones 6gb shared. I use my WiFi. They can't discount unlimited.

AT&T guy here. FWIW, we're not going completely wireless anytime soon. We're still full-speed rolling out fiber optic. We WILL drastically cut our reliance on copper-based platforms by 2020ish. And, by the end of 2017 we're rolling out a wireless home internet service which leverages our LTE towers. But copper (i.e., telephone lines) will still be a thing.

That makes a little more sense.

Moving away from copper is one thing.

Not sure it's feasible to go full wireless. Just not enough bandwidth to go around with that being the sole means of data transmission.

For a family of 4, with unlimited everything - no strings attached, I pay $100.00 plus tax and fees. So about $116.00 per month.

Have you been on a Sprint friends & family plan for like 20 years?

Don't scare me. I just switched to Uverse today.

I enjoyed turning in my Cox equipment.

Well for about 6 hours now I've enjoyed the fastest internet I've ever had and so far I'm impressed with the cable.

Time to fix that $$$$ chit.

I've got the old school Verizon unlimited data plan, and use FoxFi as a WiFi hotspot. I use it for everything, including hd streaming. I'm paying about $110 a month. I'd considering switching if the plan was right. But I'm using over 100gbs per month. So I'm skeptical about the claims on other unlimited plans. fricking getting throttled.

This is True. The last three times I checked on plans, I was able to get more data for less money. Most recently on a family plan, I was able to go from 25 Gb SHARED to unlimited. Now EACH phone will not slow down until 25 Gb vs. my previous plan of 25 shared before slow down. And the bill is less.

In April I ported my Verizon phone to Straight Talk and now pay $44 + tax per month for 8GB. Most of the cheaper options use GSM, not Verizon's network, so that's why I went with them. For a single user I think it's fair.

I pay a little over $30 bucks a month for unlimited everything on T Mobile. I've been with them forever and I've threatened to leave a few times and they kept lowering it.
