Will body lotion ruin my car's paint

I had a co-worker point out this morning that the trunk of my car had lotion all over it. This was news to me. So, I went outside to check.
Low and behold, there was a shite ton all over. Almost as if someone bought a whole new bottle of lotion just to put the entire thing on my trunk.
Can't get a car wash until after 5. I wiped it off but the residue is what I am worried about.
I don't use any body lotion myself. So, it's not mine

Are you asking if something that people put on their skin will eat away at automotive paint?

I don't know for sure, but I couldn't imagine it would do anything at all to your paint.

Yeah... that might seem like good logic but as someone who works in specialty chem, never say never. There are plenty of light oils that aren't toxic, and are the main ingredient in many cosmetics, but could potentially act as solvents for a clearcoat.
Not saying OP's paint is about to melt off, but you'd be shocked at what suncreen can do to a boat.
