Just driving down Nicholson south of Lee/Brightside. Swear I saw 3 or 4 on the side of the road (not the big gals from Tigerland). I check www.findlotsize.com and it looks like it's about 1600 acres of woods between burbank/nicholson and ben hur/gsri. Anyone ever see boars in BR.

I know there are deer. I see them all the time of burbank and nicholson. I've even seen 3 turkey's in broad daylight. Wild pigs was just a different sight.

There used to be a lot of beavers on Nicholson between Tigerland and Brightside but heavy rains made them run and they were unfortunately mowed down by cars.

They moved into city park in Nola after katrina. They're built like tanks, angry as shite, and they breed like rats.

I'd love to shoot them. Who owns the land?

True story, I delivered pizza for the old Domino's on Staring and Highland while in school. I hit a deer on Highland near CCL circa early '90's. I picked it up on the way back to the store and our apartment complex had venison for days after.

I can't say about the likelihood of pigs nowadays but they are a problem almost everywhere so it wouldn't be a shocker...

Yes, there are wild boar all over the state/south.

One of the guys in my masters program spent his 2 1/2 years there studying them, their impact on the land, and better ways to rid us of them. Had no idea of the problem we had until looking at his research.

If you can get to the landowner he would probably let you have a field day with them. There are no take limits on them and they are nothing but a nuisance.

I have seen like 5 deer on Nicholson in a 2 year period. Run them boars over and have yourself a nice roast.

If I could find the landowner I would take as many as possible. I'll slow roast them and eat good.

I'm far from a picky eater but I cannot appreciate the gamey taste of boar. I like the game flavor of duck and deer, but boar is just bad.

What are the laws regarding boars in LA? Full-year season, no license?

No license required. I'm actually not sure on season but I think you can shoot them year round. I do know there are no limits whatsoever though
