ETA: Everybody who is wary of snakes do yourself a favor and Google image venomous snakes of LA.

Once you see them, it's simple to tell them apart from non-venomous snakes.

Then your house wont be infested with mice, which carry diseases, such as bubonic plague for starters.

Exactly...we have to keep the necks from killing all non-venomous snakes, since they are beautiful and helpful.
