Has been posted before, but worth repeating. Yankees really do look down on the south, but they honestly don't spend much time thinking about it and couldn't generally give a sweet rat's arse unless it's election season.

Not to Louisiana they are not.

This article says people are moving more to the south AND the west. But LA isn't even mentioned as one of the states. Texas is where most everyone is moving to.

You jump on every opportunity you have to rag on La. Not sure what it is, but someone, somewhere really shite on you down here.

I'm gonna drop it because you're obviously upset.

I would argue South Louisiana is much different then the rest of the South, and North Louisiana is much closer to the rest of the South.

I'm not upset. I mean LA is just not this amazing great state though. I'm not the only person from LA that thinks this way either. Others on here have posted similar opinions.

Yep, South Louisiana is a cultural phenomenon. Unlike anything, anywhere. If I were only proud of it that fact.

PNW is a great place to live. You can find high desert, coast, rainforest, urban, country, suburb, mountains, plains...

Not a lot of extreme weather either.

I went to school in NY. Just what I gleaned. And whether or not you care about folks outside the South doesn't really have any bearing on my statement, does it?

You're mad. Why do you need other people to justify your feelings?

And why can't someone just think LA is a shitty state from personal experience?

To be honest, the fluctuation in oil and fuel prices is a positive for my business.

Well, as someone who lives in one of those cities you named, you can only take advantage of that stuff so much.

First, it's expensive as frick, even for those who do very well.

Second, it's hard to make time for that sort of stuff if you're actually in a career that allows you to afford it.

Third, unless you want to see the same shows over and over, you have to wait months in between them.
