Why is service at fast food restaurants in the South worse than other areas? In other parts of the country the employees are much friendlier. I left a McDonald’s in Michigan and they told me to have a nice day and ask me how my meal was. In the South they are all pissed off that you’re even there in the first place. Even on the West Coast I’ve seen smiles. The exception is Chick-fil-A. They are the best.

Because our education is worse. You are picking kids or bottom of the barrel intelligence people from the states that rank last in most significant categories.

Aside from chick fil a, the service in the south truly is worse.

The fast food service folks down South are concerned about your health and would like to encourage you to dine elsewhere. Ergo, their discouraging attitude.

Moved out of Louisiana 15 years ago and it’s a noticeable difference. Hate to say it because I love Louisiana, but the lower end service industry is pathetic.

Beat me to it by 1 minute. Don’t forget the ice cream machines that never ever work but then the Altima behind you gets ice cream.
