The new ones are for women or men going through a mid-life crisis.

My wife and I were talking about this the other day. I think the OP has a point. What if a guy always wanted a particular car but waited to buy it until the kids were out of the house and fending for themselves?

How are the old ones not for people going through a midlife crisis?

Why would you pay more for an old car that is way less safe, way less efficient, slower, less comfortable, no creature comforts, poorer handling, more expensive to buy parts for, etc?

Because some people like classic cars. Why do you care?

I just don't see it being expensive enough for one.

I care because he's passing judgement on the new ones as midlife crisis cars but the old ones don't get that some judgment. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you ask me. Sounds like a bitter old guy that thinks everything from back I'm his day is better than the modern variety.

ETA: I didn't even touch in his "new ones are for women" bullshite. Tell me how a new ZL1 Camaro (580hp , 0-60 3.9 seconds) could be considered a chick car.

brcause it's a vintage luxury not just some toy. You'd care a lot more about something that you sacrifice for. Not some overpriced chick car

FWIW I almost posted the ZL1 when he made the Camaro comment initially. However, I disagree with the midlife crisis mentality.

The people hating on others calling it a midlife crisis, are the same ones who'll say something about your truck or car, no matter what it is. They either need something to complain about, or they're jealous. Or both.

a friend of mine bought a Lambo at Barrett-Jackson a few months ago, had it shipped home, probably don't have 20 miles on it, just put in their museum with the rest of them

CajunRevolution claims to have one, they are BADASS IMO. I would love one and I wouldn't care if people said I was having a mid-life crisis!

Do you any clue what that car is capable of? You seem pretty clueless.

The ZL1 is a legit car, as is the new Stingray.

I'm not saying the V6 Camaro is anything to write home about, but why do to car what people buy.
