Public defenders do in fact provide invaluable service to the deadbeats of society. Moreover, you're absolutely correct in your response.

we have an adversarial legal system

You want the best you gotta pay the best

Hoe much you win or lose will often depend greatly on your lawyer.

jsut dives up the price.

but it isn't all sunshine and rainbows.

I dunno, a couple of weeks ago during our daily 100 degree weather here in B R - the A/C that controls the right side of our house went kaput - the climate control tech was more valued than a lawyer at that time and I am very close to a lawyer. It is what ever you need at the time.

I know almost as many recent law grads who are working at Starbucks than I do law grads actually practicing law. Engineers generally don't have much trouble finding very good work right out of college. A lot of young lawyers are just trying to get their foot in the door.

At this moment in time, I think society values engineers very much.

I've always wondered the same.
It's probably because you only need lawyers at your weakest/most desperate times. Other than that they're completely worthless.

I'm glad I chose Engineering. I have a job lined up with Amazon in Seattle after working at Adobe this past summer. Lawyers are douchy, and will always say they're personalities are better than engineers and about how they pull all the strange. A lot of $30K a year millionaires in that profession.

I feel like putting the Tesla on someone could be a potentially serious threat.

I am happy that you love your career choice. That being said, I dont understand why you were so upset with me since I decided to re-pursue engineering.

WOW. Such a manly person, insulting me on a thread.

I am a hard worker. I earn everything I have recieved in life. I do not feel bad at all about the decisions I made recently. If other people were in my same situation and had the opportunity/resources, they would do the same thing I am doing.

maybe it's because a lawyers and doctors typically attain higher levels of education than engineers? Engineers typically stop at bachelors degree, and if they go to grad school it is often for an mba. scientists may get advanced degrees, but nobody but other scientists can comprehend what they do.

oh, and lawyers are smarter than everyone else.
